One last MJ Monday is here — and TheMotto No. 15 is for the champions. The ones with crunch-time courage. Determination and drive. The winners. The ones who believe in collaboration and teamwork. Who require excellence of themselves and others. Get open. Shoot. Score. To quote one of the great ones: I’ll do it for you n*ggas and do it for myself. If you’re still pondering ESPN’s The Last Dance, you are not alone.
sunday service:
my three favorite moments from the final two episodes ⤵️
(1) Pizzagate ⬇️
it appears Ahmad Rashad (aka MJ’s Howard Cosell) tipped us off back then? ⤵️
(2) point out the bounce: “Kenny Lattimore. Brand new. Not even out yet” ⏬
(3) Dennis Rodman getting his New World Order on in the middle of the NBA Finals is insane ⬇️ Practice?!
This 10-episode documentary, which was rushed to completion due to the pandemic — lived up to the hype. Not everyone loved it, but congratulations to The Last Dance director Jason Hehir and his team for delivering inspiring content in these troubled times. As if he needed to, Michael Jordan has proved he’s the greatest of all time. And the below will forever remain one of the strongest scenes in any film.

Questlove scores Potluck, his new star-studded show for Food Network. Set for May 28, the special will raise money for America’s Food Fund and Ahmir’s very excited about the fact that Patti LaBelle is a part of it. It’s a virtual thing though, so he won’t be able to actually test what LaBelle is fixing. “Patti LaBelle has been teasing me for the past 17 years about her food…I finally get Patti LaBelle to cook for me and I can't even eat her food," he jokes.
and, I’m going to read up on this: is Twitch about to provide a serious revenue stream for artists?
what more can I say:
I try not be the numbers-driven monster I was in the early 2000s, but one of my interviews has gone diamond and I am going to acknowledge it. B.Dot and I truly shook the world last Christmas, and we just hit 10 million views+. Thank you, Drake, Future The Prince, and the genius director, Theo Skudra. We delivered a blockbuster. A masterwork for the culture. I’m both humbled and proud to be a part of it. Still down for more views tho. Ha!
Count us in.
