What an incalculable loss — a violent death, at the age of 33. Since Nipsey’s passing, his life partner Lauren London has granted no interviews — until now. Jada Pinkett-Smith just released a powerful episode of Red Table Talk: in it, she and London discuss how gun violence affects women, and about how Lauren is coping with loss.
London also talks about educating her two sons — Kameron (who she co-parents with Lil Wayne) and Kross (her child with Nipsey) — about dealing with police ⤵️

I had three great interviews with Nipsey. Honored by each one.
All of us still coping with the passing of Combat Jack, B.Dot and I sat down with Nipsey in December 2017 to discuss his career journey. We were at his so fresh and so clean Marathon Clothing Store on Slauson Ave in Los Angeles. Sadly, it’s the location where he was killed.
⏬ “Your opinion is a real staple,” he said to me during our Car Test. The first artist to ‘test’ without driving, Nip, in the back of a Maybach, presented his 2018 Victory Lap. We sipped Don Julio 1942 in honor of Meek Mill, who was incarcerated at the time.
In December 2018, B.Dot and I connected with Nip to celebrate the Grammy nomination of Victory Lap. He was excited for his next album and the future. There was just no way he could be dead in three months. Victory Lap was truly a victory. He didn't get the chance to extend that winning streak, to grow from it. He had so many ideas. And Nipsey was one to execute on his visions. All this death around us right now — pandemic, law enforcement, etc. — just has me thinking of the what-could-have-beens.
